I like taking pictures of people randomly in natural setting. I have not gotten comfortable with asking permission to take their pictures. I know that I will have to do this if I ever want to use these pictures for anything commercially.This guy was sitting at one of the tables in the middle of the Highland Center on Hollywood Boulevard, where children are running around the the water that sprouts from the ground. People are shopping, laughing and talking all around him, but somehow he is able to shut all of that out. Is he that much of a loner, or is he just use to finding a space to be alone in a crowd of people. This makes you think that this guy is possibly a homeless person, who can find peace anywhere.
I absolutely love the pictures you've posted and can totally relate to the gentleman who found a quiet place amidst all the activity around him. I recall being totally engrossed in a book while sitting smack dab in the middle of Chucky Cheese on a Saturday afternoon. Thankfully, I can still find a quiet space amid seeming madness.
